At our Ann Arbor site, we are currently looking for a ​Marketing Manager Consumer Care​ to be a part of our growing team.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain the strategy and business plan for the segments Home Care and Personal Care in the North and Central Americas region. Based on the strategy, set priorities for each team member and clearly define actions needed to achieve the strategy and team targets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the overall market segments' value chains. Define what is needed with regards to people, product portfolio, new product development, and manufacturing capability to successfully develop the business. Collaborate with global colleagues on projects and accounts, including global key accounts and interregional customers.
  • Manage the 4 P's: Placement (channel), promotion, price and product for the segment. Determine and manage selling prices to fit with strategy and profit goals. Lead product management initiatives- manage allocations if needed, define product offerings, work with the supply chain to drive efficient production strategies.  Understand global and regional logistics processes and general costs, including tariffs and duties for imports into countries in our region.  Use creative methods for promoting products and formulations to the market.
  • Be a collection point for relevant market information and communicate that to the rest of the team. Develop and maintain relationships with other noncompetitive raw material suppliers in the value chain. Maintain the market data base to determine relevant market shares.
  • Be the first point of support for the sales managers as they try to develop their business and reach their sales targets. Work with sales managers and legal department to finalize legal agreements.
  • Represent WACKER at trade shows, industry meetings, and customers. Plan promotional activities for shows, publications, product launches, and customer meetings. Manage promotional budget.
  • Approximately 20% travel expected (some international, but mostly domestic).

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience
  • Direct B to B experience (experience in Home Care or Personal Care industry preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in sorting and analyzing data
  • Leadership skills, especially influencing others
  • Presentation skills and clear communication
  • Working knowledge of basic chemistry
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
