At our site in Ann Arbor, we are currently looking for a ​EHSS Training Coordinator / Administrative Assistant 1​ to join our growing team.

 

Job Responsibilities

This role requires initiative, independence and drive, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Expected to assist in the development of exceptional EHSS training and support to region and sites.  Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously with exceptional detail particularly relating to training documentation and KPIs.  Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality, have a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated.

  • Assist in the development, scheduling, and administration of EHSS training for the region in that will support in areas such as training of new hires, refresher, competent, and authorized high-risk operations. Trainees could include team members, contractors, visitors, and regulatory agency representatives as warranted. May also assist in the delivery of the training, as appropriate.
  • Act as resource for LMS (Learning Management System) for the sites supported. Provide training reports as required by leadership.
  • Support RAPS group with administrative needs including scanning, mailing, etc. and as well as supporting the EHSS and RAPS leadership with other general administrative duties.
  • Ensures that post training documentation is properly managed, stored, and retained.
  • Work with Region EHSS Training Leader and/or department leaders to create/maintain training qualifications and requirements in a training matrix for the region.
  • Provide SharePoint, WACKER Globe and procurement (purchase request and purchase orders) support of EHSS and RAPS teams
  • Coordinate the Monthly EHSS & DOT reports and other annual Reports
  • Work directly with external vendors to manage training events and content needs.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in a related field required, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years administrative or training experience preferably utilizing skills within the EHSS field
  • Chemical industry experience preferred
  • Travel approximately 10%
  • Familiar with various training platforms and mechanisms that provide effective knowledge transfer
  • Understanding of EHSS and productivity such as, but not limited to, 6σ and/or lean manufacturing
  • Must be capable of working effectively with all people and disciplines, both internal and external to the organization and at all levels in the organization.
  • Good written and oral communications, including presentations and report generation.
  • Must be able to prioritize activities.
  • Must be a self-starter and self-directed.
  • Must be able to flexible and adapt quickly to change.
