To strengthen our team in Ann Arbor,
we are looking for you as a(n) Compensation Specialist.

 

As a critical member of the HR team, the Compensation Specialist is a key support for the compensation function and works with the Compensation Manager to partner with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives to attract and retain top talent, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay.  This position will also provide support for HR projects and will collaborate with the COEs, Payroll team, HR business partners, and global Compensation as well as external resources for legal compliance and competitive information.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of annual salary merit and incentive processes, taking into consideration performance, experience, and internal equity. Continuously improves these processes and the related systems. 
  • Participates in design and implements HRIS for region, particularly compensation-related modules.  Becomes knowledgeable in variety of systems used by HR, such as ADP, Success Factors, SharePoint and SAP.  
  • Supports consistency of regional organizational structure with global org structure, by developing and updating job descriptions with HR Business Partners, job grading and mapping jobs relative to others within the organization.  
  • Follows data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Benchmarks wages and salaries against market data to assess competitiveness and make recommendations.   
  • Develops efficient and effective processes and documentation for promotions, transfers, and other job and compensation changes.   
  • Assists with regional and/or local HR projects by liaising between project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, and meeting plans are communicated.
  • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure HR solutions are implemented.  

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years HR Generalist experience, project management experience, with minimum 2+ years in Compensation
