At our site in Ann Arbor, we are currently looking for a ​Benefits Administrator​ to join our growing team.


Job Overview: 

The Benefits Administrator will be the primary administrator for Wacker US' full range of benefits, including Health and Welfare plans (such as Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability), Retirement, EAP, Wellness and Voluntary Benefit Programs. They will provide exemplary customer service and education to team members and HR Business Partners in the administration of benefits, wellness, and retirement plans. This position will also collaborate internally with other departments, as well as third parties.

  • Assists employees with day-to-day benefit inquiries using excellent customer service from all sources (emails, calls and other forms of inquires), based on employee benefits eligibility group and status
  • Assures accurate and timely approval of benefit selections for eligible employees and dependents on a daily basis, including ensuring that all supporting documentation has been received. Works with Payroll to verify any applicable retroactive premium deductions have been processed accordingly.
  • Audits and reviews benefits status and data to ensure plans in compliance (e.g., maximum life insurance thresholds)
  • Utilizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills to research, analyze, document and resolve issues. Informs manager of systemic issues, trends or other concerns.
  • Coordinates activities with all benefit partners, including consultants and vendors; ranging from daily issues to implementation of changes.
  • Reviews, reconciles and submits vendor invoices for manager approval; coordinates billing issues and corrections with external partners and internal AP team
  • Updates and may conduct new hire benefits orientation. Participates in the development and implementation of annual open enrollment material and processes.
  • Proactively suggests ideas and areas for improvement in benefits programs and processes. Communicates and implements approved changes.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met, and proactively communicates issues with manager and consultants (e.g., QMCSOs, 5500s, NDT, ACA)



  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, preferred 
  • 1 year of Benefits Administration Experience with a degree or 3 years of Benefits Administration Experience in lieu of degree
