Job responsibilities:
- Ensuring uninterrupted availability of the Wacker Biotech Amsterdam IT infrastructure:
- Day-to-day monitoring and managing of the IT Network Systems and Services and providing support and troubleshooting as needed
- Ensuring that the IT Network Systems and services continue to meet business needs and comply to GMP requirements as well as Wacker Corporate guidelines for IT- and OT-security
- Cooperating with, and coordinating the activities of Managed Service IT Partners, Wacker Global IT Teams
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of GMP legacy systems and contribute to a quick migration to Wacker IT Infrastructure as carried out by the OT-group
- IT Governance and Continuous Improvement:
- Developing and supporting IT solutions that meet business needs while adhering to both Wacker Global and local IT- and OT-Governance standards
- Compiling roadmaps and year plans for maintenance, upgrading, and innovation activities
- Contributing to Digitalization and Continuous Improvement initiatives both within IT as within other parts of the organization as to focus on tasks with added value and erasing bureaucracy
- Enabling the OT-group to set up their Protected Networks as per industry standards and foster collaboration between IT- and OT-professionals
- Project Participation and Collaboration
Plans and delivers local IT- projects, and as such

- Manages the project from start to finish with the relevant stakeholders, communicates through meetings and documents as needed, and escalates issues in a timely manner to Management and stakeholders
- Generates and maintains the project documentation as required, such as project (execution) plan, scheduling documents, budget overviews, resource planning, user requirement specifications based on client department information, equipment and / or component specifications
- Works with Procurement and Finance to contact and follow-up with suppliers.
- Works with client departments as needed to plan and execute training and handover
Furthermore, accurate and timely input is given to the Engineering department for annual investment requirements
Qualifications required:
- Educational background HBO degree in Information Technology;
- Experience in an IT environment with technical and project skills for more than 7 years;
- Up to date knowledge of Windows IT Network Systems is required;
- Up to date knowledge of IT- and OT security is needed;
- Knowledge of SAP 4.0 is highly appreciated;
- A proactive and hands-on attitude;
- Flexibility to serve the business but strong enough to ensure compliance processes are maintained;
- Accurate, systematic and goal-oriented approach;
- Good communication skills- likes to explain and get people onboard;
- Stress resistant and up for a challenge in a fast changing environment;
- Good command of the English & Dutch language in word and writing;
- You reside in and are eligible to work in The Netherlands (valid work permit).
