WACKER POLYMERS is the global technology leader in the development and production of redispersible powders, dispersions solid resins, powder binders and surface coating resins. At our Allentown site, we are currently looking for a Sr Regional Sales Manager to join our growing team.

 

The Senior Sales Manager manages a team of sales professionals for the regional Building and Infrastructure business team ensuring achievement of sales and profitability targets.  Additional responsibilities of this position include defining and staffing sales territories, establishing and maintaining customer relationships by interfacing with senior management at current and prospective customers, and confirming resolution of customer complaints. Responsible for the team to identify and develop new opportunities / applications and driving these projects to commercialization.  Negotiate business agreements and develop strategic partnerships to grow business.

 

  • Manage and maintain a team of Sales Managers capable of executing the regional marketing and business team's strategies and ensuring the team in total is better than the competition to honestly, ethically, and safely provide competitive advantage for Wacker.
  • Manager monthly reports/meetings: sales and business team, demand planning with supply chain, S&OP meetings, Pricing Jour Fixe, quarterly import stock levels
  • Remain close to the external market and the internal regional marketing and business team to find and win new business or new customer opportunities to contribute to profitable growth.
  • Provide appropriate guidance to Sales Managers to help them to sharpen their sales and negotiation skills in order to retain customer relationships and to achieve profitable business
  • Tactically execute pricing actions set by the regional Marketing team to retain or grow profit
  • Manage any force majeure or allocation events as needed and work closely with the plant and logistics as needed
  • Align with global Key Accounts Managers on Key Account strategy
  • Resolve complaints in a timely manner

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Significant progressive commercial experience in business development, sales, marketing, and Business Management
  • Proven technical management experience, product development, process implementation, and application support in chemical industry
  • Proven leadership skills for developing successful customer growth strategies.
  • Experience in successfully completing projects in global matrix organization
  • Strong sales and technical experience
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to implement change management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills,
  • Demonstrated use of emotional intelligence, coaching, and motivation to build successful teams
