We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Sr. Chemist site in Allentown, PA.

What you will do:

The Sr. Chemist must possess extensive industry expertise in coatings and/or caulk/mastic formulating and testing. In addition, this role must be a knowledge expert in regard to all phases of laboratory work and communication of conclusions, as well as develop intimate business-relationships with customers and participates in a leading manner at industry organizations (seen as a consultant to the industry). Lastly, the Sr. Chemist will be recognized as a leading advisor within the laboratory and extended team.

Plans and performs appropriate laboratory testing for projects (PSI, AD, TS, plant support, etc.; 55%
Mentor other lab staff and teaches from experience; 15%.
Generates technical data and results and presents, both internally and externally; 25%
Ensures safety goals are met by self and others; 5%.

What we need from you:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.; Master’s or PhD a plus.
9-13+ years of relevant experience
Willing to travel an average of 25% for customer visits, trade shows, training, etc.
Good communication skills
Good time management and project management skills
Advanced level technical knowledge of formulating, test methods, industry standards, competitors, customers, etc.
Basic knowledge of emulsion polymerization
Ability to work independently.
Ability to influence.
