WACKER North America is looking for a highly motivated college student for our summer internship program in Allentown, PA.

 

This position will be working with the Technical Service Team, this intern candidate will focus on projects evaluating physical properties of cementitious mortars and effects from the interactions of different inorganic and organic chemistries.  This is a hands-on evaluation in accordance to ASTM, ANSI and ISO testing standards.  Evaluation by design of experiment (DOE) and baselining raw materials will also be part of the assignment. This position will be exposed to other technical departments, to understand the breath of Wacker's applications, and other functions of the business to get a good introduction to all departments.

 

Internship Requirements:
Currently a rising sophomore or higher and attending school to obtain a college degree in the field of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, or similar degree.
•    Available full-time in person commitment (Monday through Friday) for a Summer Internship
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality
•    Excellent communication  and analytical skills
•    Able to follow laboratory procedures and safety measures
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office
•    Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
•    Effective time-management abilities
•    Ability to positively present our company
