What you will do:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting customer needs, manufacturing processes, new product development, and application testing. You will be responsible for designing experiments, troubleshooting technical challenges, and conducting laboratory work while ensuring accurate documentation and analysis of results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of innovative products and processes in the nonwovens industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to support customer needs, manufacturing processes, and product development.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to improve processes and products.
- Conduct laboratory work, including application testing, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Accurately record, analyze, summarize, and report technical data in an electronic lab notebook.
- Communicate results and findings to senior staff to assist in product and process development.
- Interact and present to internal audiences and customers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
- Utilize standard work tools and software to support and execute tasks effectively.
What we need from you:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and safely in a laboratory setting.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals across various levels of the organization.
- Comfort working with chemicals (e.g., acids, bases, solvents, monomers) and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to use respiratory protection as needed to avoid exposure to hazardous materials.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
