WACKER POLYMERS is the global technology leader in the development and production of redispersible powders, dispersions solid resins, powder binders and surface coating resins. At our Allentown site, we are currently looking for a Business development analyst to join our growing team.


Job Responsibilities


This position is responsible for supporting and driving business development marketing activities for the LNC business. Uses professional commercial knowledge and capabilities to perform market analysis and execute on deliverables across multiple commercial business development projects. Effectively managing within and across the functional matrix will be needed to execute on primary objectives.  This individual will report to the Business Team Director LNC or delegate; establishing effective working relationships with colleagues across the broad organization is essential.


  • Provocative business development and project analysis. Initial potential examples include specialty coatings target market assessment, flooring adhesive market and creating a Customer Innovation workshop to be utilized externally at key customers to support our ideation process. Multiple other projects to be included consistent with our innovation roadmap
  • Lead marketing communication efforts to improve capabilities related to Wacker Academy offerings, our web presence, literature, information bulletins, and an improved, more structured social media presence
  • Lead for select key commercial process ownership and optimization across the LNC business. These processes and accountabilities include but are not limited to Salesforce opportunity management; competitive market database; customer segmentation, channel optimization and portfolio analysis/coordination/preparation as it relates to business development efforts.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Busines or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in project management , commercial development analysis and marketing related assignments required.
  • Proficiency with SAP business warehouse is preferred, and Microsoft Office Suite of software is required.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and present information regarding sales, profitability, markets & competition.
  • Ability to perform market research in designated areas using multiple online tools.
  • Systematic and analytical approach to data analysis, preparation and evaluation. Ownership of databases used for market information and business team planning.
  • Development of professional quality presentations for all levels of management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across different business functions.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently with a high degree of organization and time management.
  • Highly self-motivated and results oriented
  • Ability to drive and implement change.
  • Exceptional project management leadership and influence skills.
