
Purpose
The PC/QA Lab Technician is responsible for performing timely, accurate In-Process and QC testing of polymeric materials using wet chemistry and analytical techniques. This role must also participate in correlation testing with customers or other sites and in method development and measurement systems analysis.
Job Responsibilities
- Recognition and reporting of test results that might indicate unusual or upset conditions in production processes.
- Occasional analysis of R&D or pilot materials to support product / process development.
- Performing timely, accurate QC and In-process testing on materials.
- Participation in correlation testing with customers or other sites, method development and measurement systems analysis.
Qualifications Requied
- Associates in Chemistry or 5+ years experience in an industrial chemical lab setting.
- Preferred experience in polymer testing, wet chemistry techniques, instrumental analysis.
- Familiarity with basic lab safety procedures, chemical testing techniques and calculations.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- SAP experience preferred
