At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a(n) ​Senior Laboratory Technician​ to be a part of our growing team.



The senior laboratory technician is an experienced analyst with a background in qualitative and quantitative analyses and techniques.  Extensive experience with a wide array of analyses, including, but not limited to, microwave-assisted digestion, ICP-OES, gas chromatography, and HPLC allows for best application of judgment regarding non-standard, new, and complex situations.  The senior laboratory technician will also have the responsibility for training and assisting less experienced analysts.



  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use and storage of hazardous materials.
  • Support research and development, manufacturing, and process chemistry. 
  • Maintain, operate, and calibrate laboratory instrumentation.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of clean-room and clean-room operations, including safe handling of hydrofluoric acid (HF).
  • Generate data and reports as well as keep detailed and precise records.
  • Utilize specialized software for method development, customer support, and Quality Assurance activities.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and documents.
  • Perform analyses, including but not limited to, microwave-assisted digestion, gas chromatography, ICP-OES, and high-performance liquid chromatography.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and demonstrate use of laboratory equipment.
  • Remain current in technical field by researching and apply traditional and evolving techniques.
  • Create and maintain cooperative working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity and respect for diversity.


Skills Required


  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in science related field with at least five years of relevant work experience or Associate’s Degree with at least ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Broad experience in analytical chemistry with concentration in designated fields.
  • Extensive experience with laboratory instrumentation.
  • Must be willing to work safely with HF; previous experience with HF is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to be adaptable and prioritize projects with multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to apply resources in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Strong computer skills.
