At our site in Adrian, we are currently looking for a  ​Plant Security Lead​ to join our growing team.


The Plant Security Lead is responsible for leading the Plant Security team at the Adrian site Security Center in order to achieve established targets and objectives. This position reports direct to the Senior Manager EHSS and will be staffed at the WACKER Adrian, MI location.


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the Plant Security Specialist working within the Adrian Site Security Center, including conducting appraisals, training, and supervision
  • Coordinate, develop, implement and maintain an effective security and site support service level, with focus upon policy, programs and procedures
  • Responsibility for the Site Security Procedures, and as the Lead for site DHS-CFATS Security aspects
  • Support coordination for the NCA Region with security aspects (Managing ID Badging, Monitoring Security CCTV) and hub for NCA Region central point for ChemTrec and Off-Site Telephone Inquiries
  • Ensure the ADR Security Center is prepared for incoming inquiries (e-call and other) from WACKER NCA Region Sites
  • Required to cover Afternoon, Midnight, and Weekend shifts as needed to fulfill service level requirements of the Adrian site when other team members are not available



  • Associates degree or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience within a security function, including supervisory capabilities
  • Multi-tasking competency and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with continual interruptions
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and tools (SAP, WACKER Intranet, Business Warehouse Enterprise Buyer, WACKER specific IT tools, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • The position will require overtime on off-shifts as needed.
  • The position works within an office, plant, and laboratory settings.
