WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a ​Marketing Manager-Industrial and Mold Making​ to join our growing team.

 

This position will proactively support the business by defining the strategic direction for the business segments, driving revenue and opportunity growth in the region.  This position is responsible to collaborate with the R&D and sales team to proactively bring in Voice of Customer to define product development and marketing priorities supporting growth objectives in the region.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Develop the strategy/business plan for the Industrial/Mold Making market in the NCA region by (i) being responsible for product marketing and pricing, promotional strategies and driving revenue and opportunity growth. (ii) being aware of competitive and emerging industry trends to position Wacker as a leader in the space (iii) being visible and active in the outside market in order to listen to developments in the region and position Wacker for significant next generation opportunities.          
  • Collaborate with other global counterparts, sales, R&D and technology development teams to implement and execute on strategic initiatives.  Leading by influence with associated sales and technical team for implementation of the larger goals associated with the Industrial/Mold Making business plans, inclusive of running the monthly team meetings, setting  near term goals, supporting product releases by coordinating with supply chain, directionally developing research projects for the technical team, etc.  
  • Support the implementation of product and marketing strategies for the business team that will lead to new product developments and applications.  Drive prioritization of technology and product development initiatives, technology road maps and product portfolios that positions Wacker to be a leading player in the Industrial/Mold Making segment.
  • Visit customers regularly to support sales with discovery process and presenting results. Actively lead customer needs and innovation meetings as well as researching the industry developments to identify new opportunities.  

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's in chemistry or related field required, with MBA or Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in a product strategy or product marketing supervisory role (or commercial role with strong technical marketing components) in the Industrial/Mold Making industry.  Relevant industry experience in sub segments including solar, consumer electronics, construction mold making as an example desired.
  • Proficiency in strategy development and product marketing required, product/technology application development helpful.
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in a combination of Marketing and Technical background with a minimum 3 years of experience of proven successes with product development and project management, showing strategy development/product marketing leadership in proposing and develop ideas/ solutions to expand our business.
  • Product Strategy & Marketing experience in Industrial/Mold Making industry
  • Strategy or Product marketing consulting experience 
  • Experience in SalesForce is preferred. 
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
