WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a ​Chemist​ to join our growing team.

 

Job Responsibilities

The position is based in the Process Control Laboratory area in Operations and is part of 24/7 operation and may involve overtime. This position is responsible to develop and maintain:

  • Analytical chemistry metrology systems development and MCA studies
  • Perform measurement capabilities analysis
  • Train laboratory personnel on metrology systems and methods
  • Provide analytical support to manufacturing operations.
  • Act as a backup for lab supervision

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Masters or PhD in Chemistry or a related field  with 5 years' experience in an industrial analytical chemical laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical chemistry techniques and QA/QC testing
  • Experience in metrology systems, selection, troubleshooting, MCA studies, analytical method development and deployment.
  • Experience in quality systems controls and laboratory safety practices.
  • Statistical analysis techniques and basic computer skills (Minitab, Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP). 
  • Ability to work in a team environment
