Chemical Operator

WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a ​Chemical Operator​ to join our growing team.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate processes and equipment, follow recipes to produce products; move, handle, and interact with various chemical ingredients.
• Interface with computers and scanners to monitor and operate processes, perform material movements, check inventory, and write maintenance requests.
• Learn and Follow Company Policies for Safety, Quality, & Environmental regulations
• Good housekeeping

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekend 12-hour schedule plus another 12-hour shift M-F
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Requires ability to drive fork trucks and climb stairs
• One year or more of production related experience preferred
• Communication and verbal interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn production processes
• Basic-Intermediate proficiency in Reading/Writing, Math, & Science
• Basic computer skills
