WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a ​Business Development Specialist​ to join our growing team.

 

Job Responsibilities

This position will proactively support the business by administering IATF projects for OEM and Tier business and being a highly visible internal/external champion via customer engagement and supplier portal management

  • Regional IATF Project Administration--manage, direct, and document the regional IATF project portfolio by collaborating with global counterparts, sales, marketing, technical development teams, supply chain, R&D, quality, legal, and senior management. Lead by influence to identify, implement and complete strategic project goals. Become the regional expert and key contributor for compliance of Wacker IATF global customer development processes.  Provide expert input for process enhancements, train others, and own the overall success of this highly important global automotive segment directive.      
  • Customer Engagement--attend customer meetings in support of sales for identified IATF relevant customer projects.  Advise on Wacker IATF best practice and assemble required information to assure strategic project milestones and goals are executed.  Become the primary customer interface to support and onboard both awarded and strategic existing OEM and Tier business.
  • Supplier Portal Management & Administration--investigate, inspect, coordinate, install and execute the use of strategic customer supplier portals. Compile and issue required information directly into the supplier portal. Monitor strategic customer supplier portals to maintain compliance.  Disseminate portal information including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Quality Service--coordinate with the global quality service team to execute, monitor, and maintain customer program PPAP and PSW compliance.  Provide expert input for process improvements and train others in automotive processes and culture.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Arts, Engineering, Accounting, Science, or related fields, Master's (desired)
  • Minimum 5 years combined experience in customer facing roles including customer service, administrative, sales, business development, program management, marketing, quality, technical, or environmental health and safety
  • Proficiency in project management desired
  • Minimum 2 years in customer engagement role or program management
  • Customer facing experience in the automotive or chemical industry. 
  • The ability to create structure and order in a highly ambiguous environment.
  • Administrative experience in Electronic Data Systems (EDS) including custom supplier portals, CRM, SAP or ERP. Experience in ISO, IATF, PPAP, or related global quality standards (preferred)
